Barclays Capital will recruit up to another 65 bankers to its European mergers and acquisitions team before its hiring spree ends. Global head of M&A Paul Parker said the investment banking unit of Barclays was looking to add another 30 or 40 bankers in mainland Europe and up to 25 in the UK. Mark Warham, formerly of Morgan Stanley, and Matthew Ponsonby, of Citigroup, were named co-heads of European M&A at the bank last week.
