Bank of England braced for historic Super Thursday – London Report

THIS WEEK includes s-called Super Thursday when the Bank of England’s policy announce­ment, meeting minutes from the monetary policy committee and the latest Inflation Report will – for the first time – all be released simultaneously.

HSBC gets the week off with a bang today with interim results, Standard Life tomorrow and Legal & General and Standard Chartered on Wednes­day, with Thursday seeing reports from Aviva, Randgold and Rio Tinto.

Also reporting today: Keller Group, Coral, Trinity Mirror and Ultra Electronics Holdings.

Tomorrow sees reports from: Direct Line Insurance Group, Fresnillo, Just Eat and Travis Perkins.

Wednesday’s reports include: BBA Aviation, Ferrexpo, London Stock Exchange Group and Unite Group.

Aggreko, Cobham, Friends Life Group, Inmarsat, Old Mutual, Greene King, RSA Insurance Group, Spirent Communications and Vitec Group all report on Thursday.

And Fridays sees William Hill, Catlin Group and Real Good Food report.
