Asian markets are flatlining in the wake of a relatively calm day on Wall Street and a lack of significant economic data. Investors are remaining cautious ahead of Federal Reserve chair Janet Yellen's testimony on Thursday.

Markets will also be looking to whether the People's Bank of China will undertake further market reforms and seek to head off a rapid appreciation of the yuan.

Japan's Nikkei is down 0.4 per cent while the Hong Kong Hang Seng Index is up a modest 0.07 per cent. South Korea's Kospi is also making gains, rising 0.4 per cent, but the Tokyo Price Index is down 0.6 per cent.
