Apple users are reporting technical glitches, with a whole host of their media functions struggling today, including the App Store and Itunes.

The services are currently completely unavailable for some of its users.

Apple has posted a statement:

We are investigating and will update the status as more information becomes available.

At least twelve Apple services are affected by the service issues, and as well as the App Store and Itunes also include Apple Music, Ibooks and Apple TV.

The services crashed just when nominations for MTV Video Awards were being announced, which Apple had secured as an exclusive for its streaming music service.
