WHERE TO DRINK
As one of the few waterside drinking spots in Lima, Cala is well-known and popular among locals. Sample modern Peruvian cuisine and sip an authentic pisco sour on its terrace overlooking the ocean. calarestaurante.com

WHERE TO STAY
In a country with virtually no boutique hotels, Hotel B certainly stands out. The communal areas are covered with both indigenous and modern art, while the rooms are spacious and airy. If you’re passing through Peru for a couple of days, this should be your first choice of hotel. hotelb.pe

WHERE TO GO
Lover’s Park doesn’t only give you a spectacular view over the Peruvian stretch of the Pacific ocean, it’s also a beautiful place in its own right. Dominated by a giant statue of two kissing lovers, it also features Gaudí-style mosaic seating.

WHERE TO EAT
La Mar Cebichería is one of the coolest places to eat in Lima. If you like seafood and sampling the local cuisine it will be right up your street. Make sure you book in advance though – it gets busy very quickly. lamarcebicheria.com
