Apple has made a major move with its mobile pay service, adding support for it online.

This means users can simply use a "Pay by Apple" button when browsing on the iPhone or Mac, in addition to using the iPhone to pay at tills.

An Apple Pay button will appear when you pay online, via the Safari browser or the iPhone or Watch and are verified by Touch ID, the biometric feature which uses a fingerprint for security instead of pins or passwords.

The new feature was announced at Apple's Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) on Monday in San Francisco.

Apple also said it will also expand the feature to France and Switzerland in the coming weeks.
