This summer's superheroes have unveiled their new suits.

No, we're not talking about Marvel's The Avengers but Team GB's squad of Olympians travelling to Rio de Janeiro for sport's blockbuster event.

Adidas has unveiled the new kits designed by Stella McCartney to be worn by returning heroes such as Jess Ennis-Hill, Lizzie Armistead, Tom Daley and Greg Rutherford.

According to the official release, the "cutting edge designs mix tradition with 21st Century attitude and incorporates a new official and unique British Coat of Arms".

"The goal for Rio 2016 was to rewrite the rules of performance and design for athletes, allowing them to look and feel like champions on and off the field," explained McCartney herself.

"The inspiration behind the design was this idea of contrasting British tradition with a modern attitude.

"The new Coat Of Arms, specially commissioned for this project, and traditional Union Flag hues sit alongside bold textures and modern silhouettes to create a strong identity and make the athletes feel like a team."

Here's how it compares to previous years:
