Belgian police have issued a wanted notice for a man suspected of involvement in this morning's deadly bomb attacks at the Zaventem Airport in Brussels.

They issued a photograph of a man, dressed in white and wearing a hat, as he pushed a luggage trolley alongside two others.

In a press conference, police said they believed the two other men – who are both wearing gloves on their left hand, but not on their right – carried out suicide attacks, and urged people who might have any information to get in touch.

It is not known what happened to the third individual, although an undetonated device was found at the airport and deactivated this afternoon.

In a statement, Belgian authorities said: "The police is seeking to identify this man. He is suspected of having committed the attack on Zaventem Airport on Tuesday 22 March 2016."

Two explosions went off just before 8am this morning, and were followed 90 minutes later by a blast at Maalbeek metro station in central Brussels.

Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the two attacks, which between them are thought to have killed at least 30 people.

Thousands of people took to the streets of Brussels today to write messages of peace on the streets in chalk, as an act of defiance and solidarity against the terrorists.

However, around the world security has been stepped up, with additional officers being deployed in cities including London and greater safety measures being deployed at critical transport hubs including airports and the Tube.

Meanwhile, Dutch police said warning shots were fired at Amsterdam central train station during an arrest attempt this evening. There were no injuries.
