Gett Wine: Now Londoners can get wine on-demand within 10 minutes as taxi app expands product delivery range

There's a new solution to wine emergencies (we've all been there): on-demand wine delivery straight to your door.

Whether it's a last minute event and you need to show up with a bottle in hand, or it's just been a long week at the office, getting hold of the latest red is now as easy as ordering a cab with Gett Wine.

The new service from taxi app Gett, which has already expanded into champagne and salad on-demand, will be available from today.

On offer is a Boroli Bel Ami Langhe chardonnay 2013, and Boroli Quattro Fratelli Barbera d'Alba 2012 for lovers of red wine, from Moet Hennessey, extending Gett's partnership with the drinks firm. A wider range is also planned.

Users in the City, Kensington and Soho can order between 12pm and 9pm every day and will receive bottles within 10 minutes,  for £12.99.

For the festive season, Gett is also expanding its champagne delivery to party packs – six bottles of Veuve, ice bucket and even balloons, although that comes in at a slightly costlier £235.

The services are just the latest to be added to black cab app ordering service's arsenal of on-demand offers – attempts to stave off rival Uber.

“We’re, of course, continuing our popular Gett Taxi with a ‘no surge’ promise, fixed fares and a ‘100 per cent Black Cab guarantee’ in London, as the core of the business," said Gett UK chief executive Remo Gerber.

"[But] we’re really excited to continue totally transforming how people consume essential products and services with our strategic technology.”
