Watch: Rubik’s Cube whizz Collin Burns just set a new record

A teenager has just smashed the Rubik's Cube world record, shaving 0.3 seconds off the previous record. 

Collin Burns managed to solve the puzzle in 5.25 seconds at a competition in Doylestown, Pennsylvania organised by the official World Cube Association (of which, incidentally Burns himself was an organiser). 

A representative from the association confirmed to Mashable that Burns' time was "the new official WCA world record for the 3x3x3 single solve category". The trick was performed on an officially sanctioned, pre-scrambled cube. 

Here's Burns, in all his Rubik's Cube-ing glory. He's going to have to work hard to beat the robot which solved the puzzle in just shy of 3.3 seconds last year…
