The Conservative and Labour party are neck-and-neck when it comes to the value of donations made by businesses ahead of May's General Election.

While the Conservatives are out funded by Labour in overall donations, according to the latest data from the Electoral Commission, the main political parties are on an almost level pegging when it comes to business donations.

Business donations to the Conservative party between October and December when the pre-election battle began hotting up, stood at £2,098,968.

Labour's funding from business during the same period came in at £2,036,163.

PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) was the biggest business donor to Labour, followed by challenger energy firm Ecotricity and then Deloitte.

Meanwhile, the Conservatives picked up the most funding from Lycamobile and JCB.

Here's how the value of those top 20 donations to each party stack-up against each other.
